Google AdWords Geo Targeting Nets 3 Sales; Whopping ROI

June 24, 2009 By: Duane Coleman Category: Google AdWords, Pay Per Click Advertising

I just got off the phone with a client and figured I’d share a bit about our conversation.  We’ve been working with this organization for about a year and have developed their web strategy, partnered for the site redesign, implemented the SEO effort and assumed responsibility for the Google, MSN/Bing, Yahoo and ASK pay per click (PPC) campaigns.

A few months ago we tweaked the geographic reach of their Google and other pay per click campaigns.  We decided to target an area that was slightly outside of their main focus area.

They began to see activity in this new geography and they now have three sales as a result.  One sale alone covers the cost of two years of PPC management and click charges.

This organization offers services and everything is done at their clients location.  The less travel, the better and the new project is only 18 miles away from an existing project.  Talk about a great return on investment.

There are many tactics that can have an impact on the success of your Google AdWords or other PPC efforts and geographic targeting is just one example.   We’ll share more as time goes on.  Any additional tips you would like to share?  We’d love to hear your thoughts.
